Andrew Kevic is a freelance clarinetist and private instructor based in the Baltimore, MD area. Prior to his relocation, Andrew served as the Graduate Assistant for the clarinet studio at the University of South Carolina, earning a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance. For his undergraduate studies, he earned a B.M. in Performance at the University of Michigan, graduating summa cum laude in 2023. Andrew is also an alum of the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, a nationally recognized residential high school focused on pre-professional development within the fine arts. Andrew’s major teachers include Joe Eller, Dan Gilbert, Chad Burrow, and Kyra Zhang.

An active freelancer, Andrew plays regularly with multiple orchestras throughout the Carolinas, including the South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra, Spartanburg Philharmonic, Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra, Beaufort Symphony, the Aiken Symphony, and the South Carolina Ballet. An active chamber musician, Andrew has also performed on faculty recitals at the University of South Carolina and Coker University (Hartsville, SC), in addition to being the clarinetist in FUSE: a graduate woodwind quintet dedicated to community engagement and outreach to underprivileged students in South Carolina. 

Andrew enjoys maintaining a growing private studio of middle and high school students and actively hosts clarinet clinics at local band programs. Andrew has worked extensively with South Carolina students at Blythewood High School, Cardinal Newman Catholic School, River Bluff High School, and many other programs. Andrew prides himself in cultivating a standard of excellence and discipline among his students, catering to their own style of learning while implementing the necessary fundamentals of clarinet playing, music theory, and performance.
